Pressure Cleaning Before Selling Your Home

5 min read

A professional pressure clean is one of the cheapest ways to lift your property's sale price — here's what to do and in what order.

First impressions decide most home inspections in the first ten seconds. Before styling and photos, get the exterior clean.

1. Driveway and path

This is what a buyer sees first. A pressure clean strips years of tyre marks, oil and mildew — and it dries fast enough to photograph the same day.

2. External walls and eaves

Rendered walls, brickwork and Colorbond all benefit from a proper soft-wash. The colour comes back and the whole home looks a decade newer.

3. Fences and garden edging

Timber, brick and colorbond fences all photograph terribly when they're grimy. A quick clean lifts them noticeably.

4. Windows last

Always leave window cleaning until after the pressure work is done — otherwise you'll be cleaning them twice.

For most Western Sydney homes we can complete an exterior sale-prep package in a day or two, timed to the week of photography.
